7 Week Project // Skills: 3D Modeling, Digital Rendering, Hardware Research, Branding.

3D modeling project focusing on designing for a specific set of hardware and maintaining brand design language.

Form development

Referencing DJI’s current products, CMF, and graphic placement I ideated on a large quantity of possible forms while considering how a new product’s characteristics could be visually represented. (speed, acrobatics, etc.)

Hardware configuration and repair-ability.

In order to create a functional design that would fit specific hardware requirements I began the initial modelling process by blocking out every component with accurate measurements and found intuitive methods of implementing user friendly disassembly / repair-ability features.

Model Development

By developing a high volume of 3d forms I refined the final design to represent DJI's design language while retaining elements of speed and agility from my sketches.
